Borris Spassky learned chess when he was 5 years old. He gained popularity when he defeated Mikhail Botivinik in a simultaneous exhibition match, at that time he was just 10 years old.
He got his grandmaster title at the age of 18. Spassky defeated Tigran Petrosian and became 1oth world champion.
He lost world chess championship title to Bobby Fischer in 1972. And today Boris Spassky is oldest chess champion in the world.
